Equipment and Facilities

We own High Definition field production equipment packages and a HD post production studio in Houston allowing us to control cost and produce complex multi-client video projects without interruption. We employ a combination of permanent staff and free lance professionals that have worked with us for 10 or even 20 years.

Video/DVDs

For video DVDs we’re expert in authoring multilingual, interactive, menu driven DVDs that are linked to the Internet allowing viewers to click on specific videos and be seamlessly taken to the appropriate website. This is our own proprietary technology and it’s critically important because it provides an interactive viewer experience and makes the use of DVDs trackable. We’re a low cost provider for packaging, printing, manufacturing, and shipping. Online we’re expert in HTML E-mail design, programming, web development, database management, tracking and reporting.

Video/DVD Direct Mailers

We are able to produce, manufactur, and post captivating Internet linked Video/DVDs for less than the cost of postage only required to mail traditional print collateral.

B-roll

We maintain all original footage in digital format and in tape format (if captured on tape) in our climate controlled backed-up studio in Houston and we provide each of our production clients royalty free use of original footage for promotional purposes.

Production quality and cost is determined by several factors:

• The professional skills utilized. If you engage a one or two-person shop” you probably won’t have as highly developed skills in each discliping (writing, direction, videography, lighting, editing, motion graphics, music) as you will if your producer assembles a team of specialized talents that are truly expert In their primary discipline. Organized properly, this can be no more expensive or even less because highly skilled professionals can be very fast as well.
• The use of professional talents on-camera and in voiceover.
• The camera package selected for each production. High Definition (HD) cameras can cost $269 (the flip) or $5,000 or $200,000. HD provides higher resolution than standard definition but better cameras provide much better lenses, electronics, and effects and give the camera operator the control they need of the camera to execute dramatic shots.
• Is specialized equipment planned? For example, aerial photography and the use of gyro stabilized “steadicams” can make a stunning difference in the footage but it is not always necessary.

Personnel, equipment, the production process and timing should all be discussed with the producer in detail before engagement. The key is to evaluate how the video will be used so you can estimate resulting incremental revenue and make a good decisions about how much to invest in production. This is where Travelview excels.
